Job Summary

This position provides assistance and operational support to the Creative Catalog Editor, and the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education in three key areas:

  • Assistance with use of the CourseLeaf system for course and program archiving
  • Assistance in the construction of plans of study for programs
  • Assistance in the creation of training materials for input of programs and courses, and use of the CourseLeaf system for the catalog

Essential Functions

  • Work closely and communicate with faculty, program managers, departmental administrators, Associate Deans, and other subject matter experts to establish and confirm degree planning requirements.
  • Serve as a functional expert and provide recommendations on how program requirements and plans of study should be constructed in the CourseLeaf system. Raise questions and concerns upon receipt of changes made through CourseLeaf.
  • Facilitate catalog web page reviews and accurately proofreads all text changes.
  • Review syllabi for compliance.
  • Assist in the creation and editing of training materials.
  • Maintain and update Faculty database containing over 1500 records. Conduct annual review.
  • Maintain accurate, efficient and effective data entry processes (e.g., maintaining Excel files of data).
  • Respond to requests for additional information from catalog email address.
  • Assists with special projects, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Demonstrated experience with records management, data management, or other closely related field.
  • Basic proficiency and understanding of database concepts and use.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the University.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and procedures.
  • High degree of accuracy and an uncompromising attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and knowledge/understanding of web-editing software.

Preferred Qualification

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in online catalog construction.
