Job Summary

Drexel University Facilities Management Department is seeking a qualified candidate to be responsible for carpentry / multi-skilled maintenance. Candidate must possess a valid driver's license.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 2nd Shift - 3:00pm to 11:00pm

Essential Functions

  • Perform / multi-skilled related work issued through a work order system focusing on restroom maintenance and renovations and occasionally to support outstanding/critical campus-wide work orders. Job requires an employee who can perform with minimum supervision and take the initiative to complete the assignment.
  • Support campus events with set-ups which include the installation of banners, signs, risers, etc
  • Respond to service calls for general building maintenance items campus-wide which will include work in classrooms, restrooms and occasionally residence halls, athletic facilities, and outdoor work. Calls will include repair requests for doors, windows, roofs, electrical, plumbing, furnishings, locks, safety protection, and other items as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5 Years of experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • This position requires a minimum of journeyman level skills in either electrical or plumbing with an emphasis on multi-skilled abilities in all trades.
  • The candidate must be competent in the replacement of ballast, bulbs, light fixtures, flushometers, faucets and related parts. The repair of doors and associated hardware, suspended ceiling systems, restroom partitions, flooring and cabinetry & counter-top unit installation.
