Job Summary

The Career Exploration 3rd-Year Medical School Co-Director is a critical academic leadership position responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the Career Exploration clerkship within the third-year medical curriculum. This innovative program provides medical students with structured opportunities to explore various specialties, refine their career interests, and gain valuable
insights to inform their residency and professional pathways.

This role is essential for ensuring compliance with LCME (Liaison Committee on Medical Education) accreditation standards, which require that medical schools provide students with opportunities to prepare for the next stages of their professional training. The Co-Director ensures the program supports students’ professional development while aligning with LCME standards for educational quality and student support.

Essential Functions

  • Clerkship Planning
  • Implementation and Administration
  • Student Progress and Advising
  • Evaluation and Assessment

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated work experience in educational or medical setting
  • MD, PhD, DO, EdD

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must possess a well-developed sense of composure under stressful situations.
  • Superior grammar, spelling and punctuation required. Excellent proof reading and editing skills.
  • Ability to draft memos, letters, and basic documents required.
  • Attention to detail required.
