Job Summary

The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise/experience in mouse behavioral assays that measure reflexive and affective pain responses in different injury models such as experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) and peripheral nerve injury, mouse breeding, molecular biology, biochemistry and chemo genetics. They will have an established track record with the previously mentioned techniques and funding success. This is a 3-year, non-tenure track position, with an initial contract of 2 years depending on project progress.

Essential Functions

  • Perform pain behavioral assays
  • Work with pain injury models such as EAE induction and peripheral nerve injury
  • Maintain mouse breeding/Colony maintenance
  • Perform perfusions + Tissue collection (centrally and peripherally located structures)

Required Qualifications

  • PhD or Doctorate in Biological Sciences
  • 5 years of relevant experience in Molecular biology, biochemistry, or immunohistochemistry
