Job Summary

The Policy and Analytics Center (PAC) at the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute is seeking a Research Associate I, to support community, policy, and research program development across various funded initiatives. The Research Associate I will organize and coordinate planning, manage strong and regular communication between the research team and community partners, implement data collection for program evaluation, as well as track due dates and project milestones. Project priorities are informed by analysis of current issues, topic areas, and as identified by the needs of the community and key stakeholders. The Research Associate I will be responsible for simultaneous communication, coordination, and tracking of deliverables for research projects and for supporting their implementation activities, as well as organizing and executing meetings and events.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitate communication across our team, comprised of research and community partners.
  • Maintain and strengthen systems to ensure high-quality data collection and high rates of participant retention.
  • Maintain and update the databases and monitor to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Responsible for all aspects of data collection and management.
  • Assist with the creation, design, and dissemination of information/products/resources that is accessible for a variety of audiences.
  • Open to research and draft content for literature reviews, resources, articles, policy briefs, white papers, research manuscripts, and other products.
  • Work with investigators and community partners to manage the timely completion of project milestones
  • Take initiative with projects and oversee assigned tasks to completion.
  • Support grant and contract applications for additional funding.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in psychology, public health, social work or related field
  • Minimum of 2 full time years of experience OR an advanced degree
  • Ability to independently conduct exhaustive literature reviews
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and work under deadlines, both independently and in collaboration with other team members.
  • Flexible, with great time management skills.
  • Experience with participant recruitment and/or outreach
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with IRB reporting
