JOB OVERVIEW

The Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum Department within the School of Education is accepting applications for adjunct instructors with expertise in Creativity, Innovation and/or Entrepreneurship. Areas of specialization include organizational leadership; leadership administration; mind, brain, and learning; assessment; and student affairs. Selected candidates will join a pool of adjunct faculty who will serve on an ad-hoc basis to teach classes in-person (day or evening), hybrid, or online. Adjunct instructors are hired on a term-by-term basis. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis and will be reviewed when openings become available.

Drexel University's Master of Science in Creativity and Innovation is an online graduate program designed to prepare highly skilled and knowledgeable practitioners for leadership positions and career advancement in higher education.

The School of Education develops leaders with the expertise to collaborate and solve complex problems related to transforming institutions and educating diverse populations impacted by domestic and global challenges. The School of Education has 1,300 students, 48 faculty, two departments, and 14 core areas that offer a suite of certificate, certification, and degree programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The successful candidate will be expected to teach online undergraduate and graduate courses, advise students, work collegially with other faculty, and have a background in creativity, innovation and/or entrepreneurship, systems change, organizational development, or educational policy.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, public/private colleges, as well as regional, state and national education agencies/professional organizations.
  • Teaching and assessing online undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of Creativity and Innovation and Creative Education and Entrepreneurship.
  • Advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Creativity, Innovation, and or Entrepreneurship emphasis or closely related field. 
  • A record of excellence in teaching, research, service, and professional participation.
  • Commitment to serving a diverse student body.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctorate or other terminal degree in Creativity, Innovation, and or Entrepreneurship emphasis or closely related field.
