Job Summary
The AP Instructor-Special projects is an independent study instructor who specializes in an area or areas of expertise to provide direct
instruction to pupils whether in classes, small groups, labs, or individually; such instruction is provided either on-site or online.
 
Essential Functions
  • The Independent Study Instructor (ISI) reports directly to the Director of Academic Programs.
  • The primary job of the Independent Study Instructor is to work collaboratively in a proactive manner as part of an education team to plan and implement a personalized education plan for a student using curriculum and instructional methods.
  • Our Independent Study instructor meets either online or in-person with individual students to guide instruction.
  • Students then continue to work on assignments independently.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in curriculum and instructional strategies.
  • Knowledge of university and college policies and procedures.
