Job Summary

The Human Resources Information Systems Technology (HRIS Tech) & Project Manager for HR Systems oversees the configuration, support, and design of current HR systems and the specification, development, and implementation of new or redesigned systems. This position supports both strategic and operational needs to translate the functional requirements and system capabilities of HR subsystems to support and enhance the operations.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees the configuration, support and design of current HR systems, and the specification, development, and implementation of new or redesigned HR systems.
  • Works closely with Information Technology partners and HR leaders to help shape the strategy regarding technology.
  • Utilizes project management methodologies to ensure transparency, effective communication, and timeliness of projects.
  • Monitors human resources information needed on a continual basis and makes recommendations for updates or designs systems processes to meet changing requirements.
  • Secures production support, including researching, troubleshooting, and resolving HR systems problems.
  • Perform regular assessments and improvements to HR systems, including evaluation and oversight of system upgrades and new functionality to optimize HR processes.
  • Implements system changes (updates, integrations, new configurations) and leads system testing plans.
  • Develops documentation, communication plans and lead training for changes to HR systems.
  • Ensures that all processes are documented and followed as documented in process flows.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field, or Equivalent business experience
  • 5 years of hands-on HR technology experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in business requirements gathering, process analysis and design, functional design specifications, system configuration, and system testing and documentation.
  • Solid understanding of HR processes and their impact on HR systems.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and reporting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must work well under pressure, be sensitive to deadlines, and be able to adapt quickly to change.
  • Ability to build consensus, use active listening skills, and work harmoniously with others in getting a job done while promoting a culture of teamwork, excellence, and integrity.
  • Banner HR or comparable HRIS experience.
  • Experience with PageUp Talent Management Software preferred.
  • Experience with Cornerstone OnDemand preferred.

This position is classified as Exempt, grade M. Compensation for this grade ranges from $75,200 to $112,790 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
