Job Summary 

The Laboratory Manager carries out experiments as part of a team of researchers to investigate the molecular mechanisms driving cancer and cancer metastasis. They will also record and analyze experimental results and collaborate effectively with other team members. In addition, the Laboratory Manager will be expected to handle day-to-day lab organization like ordering, inventory maintenance, and logistics.

Essential Functions 

  • Independent research.
  • Laboratory upkeep - inventories and records.
  • Orders and purchasing.
  • Documentation in notebook.
  • Presents and publishes research.
  • Overall laboratory logistics

Required Qualifications 

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelors in Biology or related or Equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 or more years in a clinical setting.
  • Laboratory experience is required

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Strong organization and communication skills are required

Physical Requirements 

  • Typically sitting at a desk/table.
  • Typically standing, walking.
  • Lifting demands<25lbs

Additional Information 

This position is classified as an exempt grade J. Compensation for this grade ranges from $ 47,490 to $ 71,230 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
