Job Summary

This part-time position will assist the Head Equipment Manager with the operation of the varsity equipment rooms (Daskalakis Athletic Center and Vidas Complex) with emphasis on procurement, inventory, and reconciliation of uniform, varsity apparel, and awards. In addition, the position will serve as an event manager for designed intercollegiate athletic events and assist with facility management of the Vidas Athletic Complex.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in the daily monitoring, distribution, laundry, and maintenance of all the intercollegiate equipment and supplies. Specific emphasis on afternoon and evening hour operations. 
  • Assure the equipment/uniforms are properly laundered and kept for game-ready use.
  • Primary responsibility for equipment and facility operations at the Vidas Athletic Complex.
  • Maintain accurate and extensive equipment inventory records for assigned teams.
  • Communicate with coaches and student-athletes regarding the issuance and collection of university athletic equipment.
  • Meet with vendors and recommend equipment purchases to Head Equipment Manager.
  • Assist in the processing and receiving of deliveries to the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
  • Record all deliveries and distribute as directed.
  • Support the financial reconciliation/inventory for varsity equipment area.
  • Assist with facility management of the Vidas Athletic Complex through facility checks and meeting with Drexel facilities trades employees to review department placed work orders.
  • Event manager for designated intercollegiate athletic events.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects/assignments.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

This is a part-time position is classified as non-exempt, grade G. Compensation for a full-time position in this grade ranges from $15.58 - $23.37 per hour. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
