Job Summary

The Undergraduate Nursing Administrative Clinical Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient clinical placements and experiences for undergraduate nursing students, contributing to their professional development and readiness for clinical practice. This position provides administrative support for both the Director of Clinical Education and the Manager of Clinical Placements. Overall responsibilities include assisting with clinical placements as directed, maintaining accurate electronic documentation of sites and student placements, tracking student clinical absences, and orchestrating make-up experiences. Facilitates the use of the Clinical Placement Software Program (CPSP) to track and measure competencies aligned with The BSN Essentials and the development of student portfolios. Serves as a liaison with incoming transfer students (ACE and Co-op) to ensure a smooth transition regarding compliance and clinical readiness. Responsible for additional duties as assigned.

The working environment is primarily remote, depending on the needs of the department as determined by the administrative team.

Essential Functions

  •  Support Clinical Placement Coordination:
    • Manage the Clinical Placement Software Program (CPSP) for entering site details, assisting with student placements, and preparing necessary spreadsheets.
    • Maintain course chair/faculty clinical site visit logs and generate summary reports.
  • Manage Clinical Makeup Procedures:
    • Track student clinical absences and coordinate make-up experiences.
    • Coordinate and document communication with students regarding make-up experience schedules and costs.
    • Collaborate with designated simulation lab staff for availability and scheduling; maintain electronic records.
    • Communicate with course chairs regarding student holds/absences; maintain electronic records of these communications.
    • Oversee TouchNet payment system updates and maintain payment records.
  • Work with the Compliance Team: Facilitate, track, and operationalize student holds for clinical makeup.
  • Manage Job Duties: Organize workload to fit regular full-time employment hours.
  • Collaborate with CNHP Blackboard/Instructional Systems Administrator:
    • Enter clinical information into template course shells in the LMS.
    • Enter and maintain placements for all adjunct folders in course shells for first-day clinical information quarterly.
    • Maintain and update clinical affiliate student/faculty orientation materials.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Maintain the shared cnhpclin email inbox.
    • Maintain a repository of clinical adjunct information and courses taught.
    • Create a group email distribution list quarterly.
    • Assist with sending emails to adjuncts from distribution list(s).
    • Assist with the organization of Clinical Educator Day (CEDD) and track adjunct attendance quarterly.
    • Create and maintain a yearly academic calendar to track course-specific clinical changes based on the University Calendar.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Experienced in general office duties.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and methodical in maintaining electronic records and following procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Additional Information

This position is classified as non-exempt, grade H. Compensation for this grade ranges from $17.14 - $25.71 per hour. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
