Assistant Coach, Women's Soccer

Job Summary

The Assistant Coach will be responsible for supporting the overall operation of the women's soccer program including on and off-field coaching, video analysis, recruiting, alumni and community outreach, and other admistrative functions that support a highly successful Division 1 women's soccer program.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Head Men's soccer coach with all administrative responsibilities of a Division 1 women's soccer program.
  • Serve as liaison to internal departments such as equipment operations, compliance, communications, business office, marketing and facilities.
  • Coordinate administrative aspects for the program as assigned that promote a professional, supportive and efficient program.
  • Evaluate, contact and recruit potential student-athletes to the university that will represent the program and the university at the highest levels, both on and off the field.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach including but not limited to the operation of camps and clinics to support the fundraising needs of the program.
  • Assist the Head Coach, Women's Soccer in the instruction of techniques, strategies and skills in the sport of soccer.
  • Analyze game and practice video to help formulate training and game strategies.
  • Specific coaching or positional responsibilities to be determined by the Head Coach as needed to best support the success of the program.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. 
  • Minimum of 2 year of college or related coaching experience.
  • Strong administrative, communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with video breakdown software packages.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Collegiate playing experience.
