Job Summary

The Athletics Department is looking to hire a Creative Content Graduate Assistant to produce creative content including videos and graphics for a selected number of sports (e.g., website, social media channels).

The Drexel Athletic Communications - Creative Content Graduate Assistant will report to the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications – Creative Services and will have responsibilities in the areas of content creation, communications, design and branding. This position will be highly collaborative in delivering messaging and content that aligns with the brand and values of Drexel University and the Athletics Department.

Essential Functions

  • Enhance brand awareness through social media, graphics and video.
  • Spearhead the planning, scheduling, creation and evaluation of engaging digital content to promote championships, accolades, awards, recognition, etc. of selected sports.
  • Assist with creation and/or oversight of content used to drive revenue and brand exposure.
  • Provide insight to push messaging forward with emerging trends in social and digital media.
  • Assist with the maintenance of video storage and organization.
  • Serve as sport content creative lead for a minimum of three sports

Required Qualifications  (if any)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience working with video production and graphic design in sports.
  • Proficiency in use and knowledge of all social media platforms, specifically Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok, and ability to gather performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects.
  • Ability to work with students and part-time staff involved in production projects.
  • Occasional travel along with periodic evening and weekend work is required.
  • A successful candidate must reside in or relocate to the greater Philadelphia area.
  • Capacity to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in deadline-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in all work and strong written and communication skills
