Job Summary

Drexel University's Department of Computer Science invites applications for a full-time teaching faculty position in areas of Computer Science (CS) with an emphasis on CS systems courses such as networking, operating systems, computer architecture and computer security.

The College and Department are foremost leaders in educating computing and information professionals, combining high-quality teaching and research in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The College offers a variety of B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees spanning all areas of computing and informatics. CCI is in a new building with state-of-the-art classrooms, research and student labs, and open space to promote collaboration and innovation.

Essential Functions

  • Teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Serve as curricular leader in your primary area.
  • Scholarly research and service to the college and department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Relevant teaching experience or demonstrated teaching potential
  • Excellence in teaching and teaching innovation with dedication to working with students is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry experience is desirable.
  • Interest in course and curriculum development and online teaching.

This is a full-time Faculty position classified as Exempt. The salary offered is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
