Job Summary 

The Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law Office of Admissions is seeking a temporary Admissions Application Reader for the 2025-2026 law school admission application reading season. This part-time, temporary position assists in the holistic review of applicants to the following programs: 3-Year Fall JD, 3-Year Summer Start JD, 2-Year Accelerated JD, Global Access JD, Master of Laws (LL.M.), and online graduate programs as needed.

All reading and review are web-based and completed remotely on a flexible schedule. Admissions Application Readers are expected to commit to 35 applications per week during peak admissions season – typically beginning in October and ending in July. Online and on-site training will be provided.

Well-developed computer skills and strong writing and analytical abilities are essential. We are seeking candidates who can read carefully and quickly. A high level of confidentiality, the ability to meet deadlines, demonstrated ability to work independently and access to a strong internet connection are necessary. Admissions Application Readers are expected to perform with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Essential Functions 

  • Responsible for reviewing applications on a weekly basis and meeting application review deadlines.
  • Use Admissions Guidelines to make accurate assessments on whether or not an application meets Drexel Kline Law requirements.
  • Use Unite database to make admissions recommendations, comment on all application components, and to render the final assessment of the applications following the guidelines provided by the Admissions Committee.
  • Keep an accurate count of applications evaluated, hours worked, and submitting bi-weekly timesheets.
  • Staying in active communication with the Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management and other Admissions Team members.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of prior career services, recruiting, or legal marketing experience required.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous application reading experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and able to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Great written communication skills.

  • Typically sitting at a desk/table.

Additional Information 

This is a part-time temporary position classified as non-exempt.  The pay offered is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
