Suspension of Drexel University's Contribution into 403(b) Retirement Plan

As communicated on Oct. 10, Drexel University is suspending its contributions to employee retirement plans for calendar year 2025 as part of its multi-year plan to build financial resilience. Job Summary

The Coordinator of Data and Systems, IT/ITS, supports the current Identity Management systems, Computer Accounts Management Service (CAMS) and the central mailing list services maintained by Information Resources and Technology.

The Coordinator is the functional expert in CAMS and associated reporting tools to support provisioning and deprovisioning of computer accounts which are generated via Elucian Banner for employees and students at the University, and needs extensive knowledge of the procedures and workflow in place to accomplish these tasks.

The Coordinator must understand the relationship and integration between the relevant University systems, and is the lead functional liaison between the technical experts within CTI and CES and end user departments. The Coordinator also acts as the primary operational support for end user departments, including Colleges, Human Resources, Enrollment Management, and AIS.

The Coordinator provides project management leadership and collaboration with said technical support experts on specific projects relating to computer account provisioning / deprovisioning and coordinate the efforts of those projects. He or she also provides management of the University central mailing lists and mass mailing team members.

The Coordinator directly prepares documentation and oversees, reviews, monitors that prepared by mailing list and accounts team staff members.

Essential Functions

  • Provide operational support for relevant University functional users re Identity Management/Computer Accounts and related web-based applications. May oversee or participate in training for new users on this system functionality and audit capabilities.
  • Provide operational support and leadership to the mailing list/mass mail distribution team. Oversees and provides training for new users on system functionality and audit capabilities.
  • Manages projects, people and tasks to ensure goals and objectives are completed on time.
  • Proactively supports end user departments and individuals in third-tier identity and computer accounts related problems, including but not limited to data mismatches, Enterprise system data feeds, duplicate accounts, account deletions.
  • Coordinates and Supports mass mailing team and university-wide use of mass communications; provides definition of guidelines for its use and prepares or oversees documentation for end user management of their own lists.
  • Works closely with database administrators, functional system administrators, server operations staff and systems security to maintain data, facilitate upgrades, coordinate inter-related projects and acts as the liaison between end users and technical support groups.
  • Works collaboratively with administrative offices to define, develop and document identity management (computer accounts) and mass mail communications policies and procedures.
  • Provide direct end user tier three support for problem solving with respect to complexities of accounts use, data errors relating to identity, access permissions and privileges, working closely with helpdesk team staff members.
  • Additional responsibilities include creating and/or providing test plans, software/application defect examination and definition, high level functional support, process oversight and scheduling.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with administrative support systems, database manipulation and querying and reporting applications, including:
    • Extensive knowledge and experience with Enterprise Systems for higher education and business processes regarding computer accounts access and defined by the Institution.
    • Extensive understanding of relational database structures.
    • Extensive knowledge of a relational database reporting tool is required, including but not limited to Hyperion Interactive Reporting System (Oracle Enterprise Reporting System).
    • A general knowledge and experience in client/server administrative application structures and environment.

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade L. Compensation for this grade ranges from $62,630 to $93,950 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
