Job Summary

Reporting to the Physician Assistant Program Director and in conjunction with principal faculty, this position will provide instruction for PA students in accordance with the University and Program missions and goals and in compliance with ARC-PA standards.

Essential Functions

  • Provide student guidance and instruction in the assigned course as instructed by the course director(s)
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Physician Assistants:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited physician assistant program
  • Current NCCPA certification or licensure
  • Clinical practice experience in the areas of instructions

 Physicians:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical college
  • Current licensure as a practicing physician
  • Clinical practice experience in the area of instruction

 All other healthcare professionals:

  • Graduate from a professional school qualifying and individual for their area of practice
  • Current licensure (if appropriate) in their area of practice
  • Relevant practice experience in the area of instruction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of clinical practice/relevant practice experience is preferred
  • Minimum of one-year classroom or clinical teaching experience is preferred
  • Adept interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team environment
