Job Summary

The Veteran and Military Enrollment Liaison will support Goodwin College of Professional Studies in advancing enrollment initiatives for veterans and active military personnel. This role serves as a key connector between Goodwin College, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and nonprofit organizations that provide assistance and resources to veterans. The position will focus on recruiting students into Goodwin’s BS in Interdisciplinary Professional Studies (BS-IDPS) and MS in Nonprofit Management (MS-NPM) programs, as well as guiding prospective students toward Goodwin’s Continuing and Professional Education portfolio.


Additionally, the Liaison will collaborate with Goodwin leadership and Drexel University’s Enrollment Management and Student Success (EMSS) team to develop strategies for expanding the Military Transition Program (MTP) and explore opportunities to recruit for other colleges and schools as appropriate.

This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.   

Essential Functions

  • Outreach & Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary liaison between Goodwin College, the VA, and veteran-focused nonprofit organizations.
    • Build and maintain partnerships that support veteran and military student enrollment.
    • Local travel may be required. 
  • Recruitment & Guidance:
    • Recruit veterans and active military personnel into Goodwin’s degree programs and professional education offerings.
    • Provide guidance on program selection, enrollment processes, and available resources.
    • Assist in coordinating Military Transition Program Speaker Series. 
  • Strategic Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Goodwin leadership and EMSS to develop and implement strategies for expanding veteran and military enrollment initiatives.
    • Support efforts to grow the Military Transition Program and identify cross-college recruitment opportunities.
  • Financial Aid & Benefits Expertise:
    • Support prospective students by redirecting to all appropriate Drexel Central Staff on federal benefits available to veterans and active military, including GI Bill, Yellow Ribbon Program, and other educational assistance programs.
    • Ensure accurate communication of benefit eligibility and application processes. 
  • Reporting & Communication:
    • Track outreach activities and recruitment outcomes.
    • Provide regular updates to Goodwin leadership on progress and opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1-2 Years Professional Experience. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal benefits for veterans and active military seeking higher education, upskilling, and workforce development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in outreach, recruitment, or advising preferred.
  • Familiarity with higher education programs and enrollment processes is a plus.
  • Military Veteran.

Additional Information
This position is classified as Non-Exempt, grade K. Compensation for this grade ranges from $26.16 - $39.24 per hour. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
