Job Summary

The Clinical Director serves an essential role as part of a multidisciplinary team which provides care for adult patients living with HIV. This individual’s primary role is oversight of the daily clinical function of the Partnership. The Clinical Director delivers direction and leadership to ensure PCCP provides excellent patient care and promotes a positive work environment. The Clinical Director will identify opportunities to increase quality, safety, effectiveness, and efficiency, and develop indicators to measure, evaluate, and improve care for patients at PCCP. 

Essential Functions

  • Creates and implements nursing policies and procedures to foster a positive and organized work environment while planning, prioritizing, and assigning healthcare tasks to clinical support team members.
  • Serves on relevant task forces and committees (i.e. Committee for Quality Improvement, eDoc).
  • Carries out the mission of the Clinic, helps develop goals and performance standards in agreement with funding regulations, and communicates to staff based on the Clinic and University’s organization policies, procedures and systems.
  • Development of annual medical emergency drills for clinic staff
  • Administrative support for team meetings (CQI, staff meeting, front end meeting, etc.)
  • Develops and leads clinical SOP and workflow development and changes in collaboration with representatives of the Partnership team.
  • Pending appropriate nursing licensure, assist with nursing coverage via Epic and coverage of phone lines
  • Serve as a mentor to ancillary clinic staff (nurses, pharmacist, dietitian, clinic manager)
  • Works closely with the Medical Director to ensure that staff are maintaining compliance with all University policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Determines and demonstrates effective communication methods for staff and providers, and addresses concerns in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing 
  • At least 5 years of robust clinical experience and at least 3 years of management experience with direct supervision of staff are required.
  • To provide nursing duties, appropriate state nursing licensure
  • A demonstrated ability to provide consistent quality patient care with a keen eye for detail, organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Experience instructing clinical support employees on proper patient care procedures
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills are essential.
  • Commitment to learning and delivery of trauma-informed care is essential.
  • Comfort with electronic medical record systems, and proficiency with standard computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Zoom are required.

Additional Information

This is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
