Instructional Designer Intern - Kline School of Law

Job Summary

The Instructional Design Intern will report to the Senior Instructional Designer and works collaboratively with both adjunct and full-time faculty and subject matter experts to design and develop courses for the Kline School of Law. These courses are primarily fully online and asynchronous, though some synchronous and hybrid courses may also be supported.

Essential Functions

This position will assist the Senior Instructional Designer to ensure a quality online experience for students by designing engaging, interactive, and pedagogically sound content. The intern will also be responsible for uploading and configuring materials such as quizzes and readings in Drexel's learning management system, Blackboard, as well as helping to develop training/tutorial materials as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate experience of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Knowledge of online accessibility standards
  • Awareness of tools suited for online learning (video conferencing, collaboration, quizzing)
  • Comfort navigating a learning management system (such as Blackboard) and uploading, editing, and creating materials within the system
  • Photo, audio, and video editing skills
  • Able to problem solve in a cooperative manner with various constituents (faculty, staff, students). Capacity to work on multiple projects at once and remain on course with production schedules, deadlines and deliverables
