Job Summary

This is a part-time, non-tenure track position in 2024 – 2025 academic year.  This is co-teaching position, with the expectation of two instructors working collaboratively.

The Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics Dept is seeking an adjunct position for the following course-MEM678 –Nondestructive Evaluation Methods– Winter Term

The appointment for Winter term will begin January 2, 2025 and end no later than March 31, 2025.

Essential Functions

  • Teach the lecture and oversee the design and practicum
  • Use Black Board Learn for class materials, assignments, and grading. 
  • Keep records, post grades (mid-term & final), submit attendance reporting, and mentor students. Provide students with feedback.
  • Submit ABET course assessment reports and course binders.
  • Responsible for creating the syllabus and course materials provided by the department.
  • You are responsible for teaching the course selection and making yourself available to students (e.g., responding to email inquiries, maintaining accurate documentation of course records to justify the grades to the course as assigned by the department head.
  • Other duties as assigned by department head.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrable academic and/or professional experience commensurate with course content and requirements.
