Suspension of Drexel University's Contribution into 403(b) Retirement Plan

As communicated on Oct. 10, Drexel University is suspending its contributions to employee retirement plans for calendar year 2025 as part of its multi-year plan to build financial resilience. Job Summary

The Coordinator of Women’s Basketball Operations at Drexel University, a member of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), plays a pivotal administrative and operational role within the women’s basketball program. This position supports the Head Coach and staff by managing the day-to-day logistics of a nationally competitive Division I program, while ensuring full compliance with NCAA, CAA, and institutional regulations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to academic and athletic excellence, student-athlete development, and team success.

Essential Functions

  • Program Operations & Travel Management:
    • Coordinate all aspects of team travel, including transportation, accommodations, per diem, and itineraries.
    • Manage game day logistics for both home and away contests, ensuring optimal team preparation and execution.
    • Organize meals during holiday breaks, summer access and other team activities while on campus.
    • Serve as a liaison between the coaching staff and athletic departments (equipment, sports medicine, academic services, compliance, etc.).
  • Budget Oversight & Procurement:
    • Assist in managing the women’s basketball operations budget in collaboration with the Athletics Business Office.
    • Oversee equipment inventory and purchasing in compliance with university and NCAA guidelines.
  • Team & Student-Athlete Support:
    • Organize team-building initiatives, community service, and leadership programming in coordination with student-athlete development staff.
    • Manage onboarding logistics for new student-athletes, including housing, orientation, and team integration.
    • Opportunity to provide on court coaching or practice/game assistance. 
  • Recruiting Support & Compliance:
    • Coordinate on-campus recruiting visits, including scheduling, meals, and logistics.
    • Maintain and track recruiting records in compliance with NCAA and CAA rules using approved software (e.g., ARMS, TeamWorks).
    • Support documentation and monitoring for all NCAA and institutional compliance protocols.
  • Communication & Event Coordination:
    • Assist with planning team events such as banquets, alumni functions, donor receptions, and youth clinics.
    • Manage team calendars, communications, and special projects as assigned by the head coach.
    • Serve as the primary administrator for approved team specific software (TeamWorks) and ensure that student-athletes, coaches and support staff using the system efficiently. 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. 
  • Minimum of 3 years working in collegiate basketball program.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and CAA conference policies.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel with the team domestically.
  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as student-athlete or manager at collegiate level.
