Job Summary

The Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice (CNSJ) at Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the center's daily operations, compliance, and research and evaluation efforts. This temporary full-time position will be located at CNSJ's downtown office, report to the center's Administrative Coordinator, and work closely with the Data and Compliance Manager and Executive Director.

This position will assist the CNSJ's daily operations by providing front desk coverage and helping the CNSJ Administrative Coordinator with administrative tasks. In addition, this position will support compliance, data, and evaluation efforts. This is an in-person position. The supervisor may approve remote work once a week.

This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.   

Essential Functions

  • Administrative 
    • Assists CNSJ's Administrative Coordinator with daily operations, including front desk coverage and maintaining and restocking inventory of general office and client supplies.
    • Department P-Card reconciliation.
    • Coordinate with Drexel's Facilities and Maintenance departments as needed via work order.
    • Assist in identifying and scheduling meeting space both within and outside of the University as needed.
    • Assist staff, colleagues, and clients with scheduling Lyft transportation.
    • Additional duties as needed 
  • Program Evaluation & Strategic Planning
    • Supports CNSJ Strategic Planning efforts through coordination of meetings, working closely with the CNSJ Executive Director, and implementing plans 
    • Contributes to updating the Healing Hurt People (HHP) Implementation Manual by reviewing existing documents, conducting interviews with HHP leadership and staff, and assisting with timeline and project deliverables.
    • Supports evaluation efforts through transcribing letters from CYPHER sessions and assists in developing a narrative hub for the CYPHER letters to demonstrate the effectiveness of the program 
  • Data and Compliance
    • Supports the distribution and administration of HHP client satisfaction surveys
    • Provides administrative assistance to the CNSJ Data & Compliance Manager with program auditing and grant reporting fulfillment.
    • Other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, biology or related fields or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience.

This position is classified as Non-Exempt, grade I. Compensation for this grade ranges from $19.69 to $29.54 per hour. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
