Job Summary

The focus of the System Administrator is to implement, upgrade, and maintain a number of core applications and the servers they run on.  This will involve both planning for new services and making sure existing services perform optimally.  A secondary aspect of the position is assisting in the regular troubleshooting and automation of core systems and services.  A tertiary aspect is providing third level support to help desk staff in resolving problems. This person will work closely with personnel at Drexel and its external partners.

Essential Functions

  • As part of a team, administer Active Directory, SCCM, Office365,MS SQL, Core administrative applications such as CSGold, FSAatlas, Sitecore, and others.
  • Ongoing self-directed education on a variety of technologies and products.
  • Maintaining and configuring server and storage equipment, operating systems, and application services using automation tools.
  • Regularly on-call for troubleshooting and correcting critical problems.
  • Occasional off-hours work required to perform upgrades or deal with critical problems.
  • Help desk staff in resolving problems. This person will work closely with personnel at Drexel and its external partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of a one to two years of experience.

  • Typically sitting at a desk/table.

Additional Information

This position is classified as Exempt, grade K . Compensation for this grade ranges from $ 54630.00  to $ 81940.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
