Job Summary

The PHAN Lab focuses on reducing tobacco-related health disparities and promoting health equity in and through tobacco control. Our research aims to help prevent and reduce commercial tobacco use among minoritized populations, particularly young adults. Versatile research methodologies are included in the research lab’s work including eye-tracking laboratory experiments, community-engagement, and quantitative and qualitative approaches. Our research lab is located within Drexel University’s Center City campus.

Job Overview: Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator and/or other study team members, the individual will support an NIH/FDA-funded cigarillo smoking prevention messaging study for Black young adults and other health disparities-related research projects.

Essential Functions

  • Conducting literature reviews.
  • Developing study materials.
  • Assisting with participant recruitment, project management, programming online surveys, supporting qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • Supporting eye-tracking experiment set-up and data collection, conducting data analysis, and coordinating for community-engaged research activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in public health or related health science fields or Equivalent
  • 1-2 years of directly related experience is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Additional Information

This position is classified as non-exempt, grade G. Compensation for this grade ranges from a Minimum of $15.58 to a maximum of $23.37 per hour. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
