Job Summary
The Research Engineer designs and analyzes electronic components as well as the summarizing results of academic research papers.
Essential Functions
- Design, fabricate, and analyze electronic components.
- Read, write, and review academic research papers detailing results.
- Develop process recipes for cleanroom work.
- Write code for automated test and data analysis.
Required Qualifications
- PhD or Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

- 0-3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in scientific research, and high integrity in research and in professional and personal interactions.

This position is classified as exempt, grade L for this grade ranges from $62,630 to $93,950 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
