Job Summary
Drexel University's Facilities Management Department is seeking a qualified candidate responsible for the coordination of support services for events. This includes supervision of a skilled and semi-skilled union workforce. A flexible work schedule is critical to ensure all campus events are managed to an acceptable manner.
Essential Functions
- Oversee work order requests for utility (office moves and equipment relocation). This position requires serving as the onsite Event Supervisor for all sports, competitions and special events related to athletic events, which include nights and weekends.
- Distribution of transportation duties (Events, Work Order and Receiving Functions). Also supervise second shift services for events and transportation duties.
- Maintains documentation of all related services.
- Attend all events services meetings. Provide detailed listings to ALL facilities departments in order to coordinate overtime and proper event staffing.
- Assure compliance with applicable safety and code requirements.
- Investigate and resolve department service complaints.
- Observe driving and work habits of employees in the field.
- Work closely with Housing team on Residence Hall and Greek Life furniture and appliance moves.
- Execute work orders with the Utility team on university initiatives such as “Campus Clean Up”.
- Keep accurate inventory of Campus Owned folding tables, chairs, dorm furniture, mattresses etc. and alert the appropriate departments of quantities periodically.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of HS Diploma or GED or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

- Minimum five (5) years' in experience in:
- Events operations
- A customer service-oriented environment or related service.
- Directly supervising a unionized workforce.
- Valid Driver's license and have acceptable motor vehicle record that is in compliance with Drexel University vehicle operator's policy.

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade J. Compensation for this grade ranges from $47,490 to $71,230 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
