Job Summary
A research assistant will participate in a translational autism research project supported by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). This project aims to assess the efficacy of peptides as a new drug for autism, particularly in neuronal morphology and neural circuits during brain development. A research assistant provides support to graduate students by preparing reagents and performing experiments.
Essential Functions
- Reagent preparation
- Execute experiments and data analysis
- Manuscript and figure preparation for publication
- Help PI prepare documents
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience, Cell Biology.
- Ability to follow experimental protocols and reagent preparation recipes precisely
- Excellent communication skills with other lab members and the principal investigator
- Outstanding oral and written skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in animal l(mice) handling, and general molecular biological experiments.

Additional Information
This is a Part-Time temporary position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
