Job Summary
Position will support the Art & Art History office by assisting students, faculty, the Department Administrator and the Department Head with various clerical functions and communications, as well as will facilitating the operations of the department.
Essential Functions
- Maintains department files and other correspondence in in a timely manner.
- Assists students with course registration process.
- Schedules and coordinates models for figure drawing classes.
- Obtains training, thoroughly learns and uses Hyperion Software and Office365 in the performance of various Art & Art History office duties.
- Learns AEFIS and manages end of the term course evaluations.
- Coordinates with Westphal College Communications group to maintain departmental website and faculty/student listserv, assist with departmental communications, assemble departmental newsletter and promote departmental news and events to various channels (social media, Drexel events calendars, etc.).
- Effectively communicate University, College, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Greets all office visitors and directs them to the appropriate person, answers and screens department's incoming phone calls, mail and emails.
- Completes and forwards various student, purchasing and accounting forms.
- Assists with departmental purchasing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED and 2 years of administrative support experience or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat software.
- Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong customer services/relationship management skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and problem-solve quickly.
- Ability to work with various audiences, including students, faculty, staff, across the university.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.

Additional Information
This position is classified as Non-Exempt, grade G. Compensation for this grade ranges from $15.58 - $23.37 per hour. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
