Job Summary
The individual filling this position will perform independent research, under the guidance of Drs. Garcia and von Reyn. This includes experimental design, data collection and analysis, and preparation of figures and manuscripts for publication. In addition, this individual will provide general lab support for both labs, including management of research animals (Drosophila and mice), genotyping, and database maintenance, and other general lab support, as needed.
Essential Functions
- Experimental design, data collection, data analysis
- Drosophila stock maintenance
- Transgenic mouse colony maintenance, genotyping
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Organizational skills, Drosophila genetics, Neuroscience

Additional Information
This position is classified as Non-Exempt, grade F. Compensation for this grade ranges from $14.10 to $21.15 per hour. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
