Job Summary
A temporary employee is needed to complete research being funded by an award from ONR- Office of Naval Research - (Drexel 940026-3667). We recently received a no cost extension that extends the work period to 31 Dec 2025. However, the PhD student who has led the work recently graduated and must be replaced so that the work can be completed.
Essential Functions
- Complete development of bio robotic swimmer.
- Create new gaits using reinforcement learning.
- Conduct numerical and physical validation of swimmer.
- Write report on the outcome of results.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
- Minimum of 0-3 years of experience.

This is a Part-Time Temporary position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
