Job Summary
The Senior Employer Relations Specialist reports to the Associate Director of Employer Relations and is an integral member of the Steinbright Career Development Center’s Employer Relations team. The Sr. Employer Relations Specialist is primarily responsible for developing job opportunities for Drexel’s co-op program. Additionally, the Sr. Employer Relations Specialist and team also help to develop job opportunities for Drexel’s graduating seniors, adult learners, and alumni. The Sr. Employer Relations Specialist also supports strategic communications and data-reporting initiatives to disseminate and/or facilitate essential information about Drexel’s co-op program to prospective employer partners and internal stakeholders to support growth, collaboration, and strategic decision making. This role helps achieve Steinbright’s and Drexel’s strategic goals by innovating and executing partnership development initiatives between Drexel University and surrounding companies and organizations.
Essential Functions
- Develop high quality collaborations, partnerships, and job opportunities for by communicating and cultivating relationships with employers/organizations.
- Provide account management services to co-op employers engaged within the co-op recruiting process as needed.
- Utilize internal customer relationship management systems and accompanying/available tools to track and follow-up on engagement and development activity and strategy.
- Collaborate with Steinbright’s Career Services team to help manage our portfolio of employers and jobs within the Handshake system.
- Collaborate with Drexel University departments, faculty, student groups, alumni relations, etc., to aid in growing revenue-generating collaborations and jobs for students & alumni in key growth and strategic areas.
- Develop and manage strategic communications, such as webinars, newsletters, and programmatic updates, for employers, Drexel University departments, and other key stakeholders.
- Support the generation and maintenance of Steinbright-supported social media content and platforms.
- Analyze and develop reports on employer and jobs data per co-op cycle.
- Maintain materials relating to the Employer Relations team, including Training Manual & Handbook, Employer Agreement Policy, employer guidelines, and other documents and/or webpages.
- Participate in Steinbright/Drexel career fairs, workshops, and other career related events.
- Network at alumni career services affairs, trade shows, conferences, industry events and professional societies.
- Light travel to events may be required at times (less than 5%).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
- Minimum of two to five years of demonstrated success in corporate/client development, recruiting, employer relations within career services, sales, or related business area.
- Ability to communicate effectively, most commonly through video chat, on the phone, and/or in person
- Demonstrated competence in developing and managing internal and external relationships
- Self-starter with ability to adapt, prioritize, and innovate
- Strong interpersonal and time-management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High degree of organizational skills and consistent attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to set and meet deadlines and goals
- Ability to collaborate and interact effectively with employers, staff, and faculty
- Strong demonstrated technical skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis and report generation

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade K. Compensation for this grade ranges from $ 54,630.00 to $ 81,940.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
