Job Overview
- Audition students for admittance into the orchestra, and potentially for scholarship consideration.
- Program appropriate concert repertoire.
- Be a teacher, be a conductor, be an administrator.
- Work with department staff to coordinate concert publicity and production needs.
- Maintain the orchestra library.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with Music Program and Department of Performing Arts faculty and staff.
- Embrace the missions of the University, College, Department, and Program.
- Foster a culture of inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor's Degree in Music strongly preferred.
- Orchestral conducting experience at any level.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
