Job Summary

A.J. Drexel Autism Institute is seeking a Research Associate.

This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.   

Essential Functions

  • The Research Associate will support and co-lead several key training and research initiatives at the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute. This role involves instructional leadership, participant support, program coordination, and clinical research across multiple high-impact projects. The position requires independent judgment, strong communication and technical skills, and the ability to manage concurrent responsibilities across teams and platforms. 
  • Co-leading the ISLEA program and R-ISLEA sessions (for which she is currently completing training for); Reviewing materials and participant responses for each synchronous and asynchronous session; Attending and leading each synchronous session with a co-instructor; Responding to comments and managing logistics for participants; Meetings with Program Directors to ensure consistency of administration 
  • Serving as an assistant instructor for the SPIRIT program; Reviewing materials and participant responses for each synchronous and asynchronous session; Managing technical and logistical requirements for program participants and instructors; Collating and presenting participant questions for program instructors; Meetings with program instructors to ensure consistency of administration 
  • Providing coordination support for all LCO training programs; Scheduling sessions, arranging schedules, coordinating with instructors; communicating with potential and current participants; Conducting marketing and recruitment efforts; management of learning management system implementation for programs 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Extensive prior training in clinical research assessments
  • Experience supporting educational programs and participant engagement
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms, REDCap, and coordination tools
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and collaboratively

Additional Information

This is a Part-Time casual position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
