The Department of General Business is housed in the LeBow College of Business, an AACSB-accredited at the graduate and undergraduate levels. LeBow offers doctorate, MBA, and undergraduate degrees. Job Summary
The adjunct faculty member will employ a variety of strategies to foster student learning and discussions, and encourage active learning in all students, maintain proper course-related records, and evaluate student work and provide students with feedback as to the progress toward meeting the objectives of the course. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively teaching students in the assigned classroom settings. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively implementing the mission of the LeBow College of Business. Responsibilities may include teaching days, evenings, nights and weekends, with the potential for online only, in-person only, or a combination of both.
Essential Functions
- Instruct introductory undergraduate courses in General Business
- Teach required number of credit hours per term based on their contract
- Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes related to General Business knowledge and practice
- Foster an engaging and supportive learning environment for 1st year undergraduate students
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to student success through mentorship, accessibility, and relationship-building with students
- Employ a variety of teaching strategies to encourage active learning, participation, and student engagement
- Schedule two office hours per week for student availability, if applicable
- Schedule administrative time for classroom preparation
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or above (Ed.D. Ph.D.) and/or significant industry experience
