Job Summary
The focus of the Sr Windows Administrator is on maintaining and upgrading a large, complex server and application environment with core services that include Active Directory, O365, Azure, SCCM, Vmware, and Horizon View VDI. This involves planning for new deployments and upgrades, as well as identifying and rectifying problems with the current services with minimal supervision. It further involves developing, and identifying potential improvements to the environment or to existing processes and procedures. This position requires the ability to write Powershell scripts for maintenance tasks and new projects.
Essential Functions
- Administer Active Directory, Azure, O365 including deploying new services
- Lead new projects to deploy services and remediate structural problems
- Respond to and remediate ongoing problems
- Develop scripts for automation and troubleshooting
- Document and communicate changes, problems and solutions to other technical staff as well as end-users
- Mentor junior staff in troubleshooting and server application administration
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working as a Windows Systems administrator or similar system/infrastructure administration role. This must include:
- 2 years in Powershell scripting.
- 3 years in managing Active Directory.
- 2 years administering VSphere with vCenter.
- 1 years administering SCCM.
- In depth knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and TCP/IP including host based firewalls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Intel-based hardware.

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade N. Compensation for this grade ranges from $99,720 - $149,580 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position will vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
