Job Summary

Dr. Amy Carroll-Scott and Project Manager Maggie Beverly are working on an evaluation of the Healing Centered Learning Training Academy from the Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice. The project collects a variety of data from participants, including pre and post surveys, attendance and other programmatic data, and 6 month and one year follow up outcomes. We are seeking a Research Coordinator who will be able to lead the data cleaning, data management, and data analysis of these various data sources in excel and R.
This position would report to the Project Manager, Maggie Beverly. Candidates should be available for at least 10-15 hours per week starting in April 2025 and running through at least June.

Essential Functions

  • The research assistant will be responsible for
  • Using R to clean and transform data from spreadsheets into an analytic dataset
  • Use statistical software (R required) to analyze changes and outcomes 
  • Visualize quantitative data for internal and external use
  • Use template reports to regularly summarize interim findings to program partners
  • Clearly document code, decisions, and processes on an ongoing basis. 
  • Seek guidance when needed to ensure that projects are completed accurately and on time. 
  • Attend meeting with PM, PI, and other project staff on a regular basis Other assigned tasks as needed 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of Master's Degree in MS in Epi/Biostats.
  • Minimum of At least 1 year of experience in data management and analysis; and, Proficient using Microsoft Office.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to closely follow intricate instructions
  • Must be able to work and problem solve independently with guidance from the PI and project manager
  • Prior experience coding with R outside of class work
  • Experience with quantitative data cleaning and management in excel &
  • Data visualization experience preferred
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfort working in person and/or remotely

Additional Information

This is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
