Job Summary

Drexel University Kline School of Law, in Philadelphia, seeks applications for one non-tenure track/teaching faculty position for the 2025-2026 academic year. This faculty member will also direct the school’s trial advocacy program.

Essential Functions

  • The faculty member is expected to teach three courses each academic year and participate in service to the Law School and the University.
  • The faculty member will teach trial advocacy courses including Evidence, and other courses that might include Professional Responsibility, advanced procedure classes, and other courses throughout the curriculum.
  • The faculty member will also serve as the Director of the law school’s nationally recognized Trial Advocacy Program. This work includes overseeing and refining the law school’s Trial Advocacy curriculum, recruiting, training, supervising adjunct faculty in the Trial Advocacy program, and teaching trial advocacy classes, and supporting the admissions process around trial advocacy scholarships and recruitment.
  • This position is non-tenure track; time spent in the position will not accrue toward tenure. The contract is initially for two years with the goal of reappointment if mutually satisfactory. 

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school or its equivalent
  • Admission to practice in at least one state
  • Minimum of at least three years of litigation experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with teaching experience are preferred
  • Prefer at least three years managing or coaching mock trial teams
