Job Summary

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Salus University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach a course in the Speech-Language Pathology program. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, engaging students in the learning process, and providing expertise in the area of speech and language disorders.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare and deliver lectures and coursework in accordance to the course description, student learning goals and competencies, as outlined in the course.
  • Facilitate engaging discussions and learning activities that encourage student participation and learning.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Provide timely feedback and grades for all coursework.
  • Hold office hours to meet with students for additional support and guidance.
  • Stay current with developments and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff in the department for curriculum development and improvement.
  • Adhere to the departmental and university's policies and procedures.
  • Participate in department meetings and professional development activities as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field.
  • Clinical experience in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to engage a diverse student population.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of educational technology and learning management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field.
  • Current ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification and state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, if applicable.
  • Prior teaching experience at the college/university level preferred.
