Job Summary
The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Salus University is seeking a qualified Lab Assistant in [course], a course in the Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in [on-campus/online/ off-campus] format, engaging students in the learning process, and providing expertise in the area of speech and language disorders.
Essential Functions
- Prepare and deliver labs in accordance to the course description, student learning goals and competencies, as outlined in the course.
- Facilitate engaging discussions and learning activities that encourage student participation and learning.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments.
- Collaborate with primary course instructor for additional student support and guidance.
- Stay current with developments and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff in the department for curriculum development and improvement.
- Adhere to the departmental and university's policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification and state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, if applicable.
- Clinical experience in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Prior teaching experience at the college/university level preferred.
- Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to engage a diverse student population.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in the use of educational technology and learning management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate preferred

Additional Information
This is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
