Job Summary

The Assistant Coach, Women's Soccer will be responsible for supporting the overall operation of the women's soccer program including on and off-field coaching, video analysis, recruiting, alumni and community outreach, and other administrative functions that support a highly successful Division 1 women's soccer program.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Head Women's Soccer Coach with all administrative responsibilities of a Division 1 Women's Soccer program.
  • Serve as liaison to internal departments such as Equipment Operations, Compliance, Communications, Business Office, Marketing and Facilities.
  • Coordinate administrative aspects for the program as assigned that promote a professional, supportive and efficient program. 
  • Evaluate, contact and recruit potential student-athletes to the University that will represent the program and the University at the highest levels, both on and off the field. 
  • Assist the Head Women's Soccer Coach in the instruction of techniques, strategies and skills in the sport of soccer.
  • Analyze game and practice video to help formulate training and game strategies. Specific coaching or positional responsibilities to be determined by the Head Coach as needed to best support the success of the program.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, including the operation of camps and clinics to support the fundraising needs of the program.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
  • Minimum of 2 years of college coaching experience or the equivalent coaching experience.
  • Strong administrative, communication and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience with video breakdown software packages.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Collegiate playing experience.
