Job Summary

The Business Manager of Finance and Administration within the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP) is responsible for numerous aspects of the department, including but not limited to: Personnel Forms (EPAFs), Smartsource, Payroll Resolutions, Independent Contractor payments, job postings and asset management. The Business Manager is crucial to successful operations, serving as the key resource for employees by providing assistance and training on Drexel’s finance and human resources systems. This position will report in to the Director of Finance and Administration and support both the Director and Executive Director to ensure departmental efficiency. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on projects, while upholding the highest degree of confidentiality.

Essential Functions

- Monitors and audits documentation and work managed by the Finance and Administration Department to ensure accuracy
- Organize meetings for the department and prepares applicable materials for meetings
- Provides training and assistance to CNHP staff on Drexel systems, such as the EPAF system, Payment Net, Smartsource, and Page Up
- Responsible for sending reminders to all faculty and professional staff for the Annual Enterprise Learning requirements to ensure 100% compliance across the college
- Posts open positions for adjunct, staff and faculty positions in the applicant tracking system
- Reconcile payroll issues and submit Payroll Resolution forms
- Work closely with the Vice Dean of Strategic Operations and Academic Services to ensure that scholarships are awarded and maintain tracking spreadsheet
- Works closely with the Director of Clinical Education for Undergraduate Nursing to ensure clinical adjunct faculty are paid in accordance with CNHPs policies
- Handle all aspects of independent contractor payment and approval process through Procurement
- Reconcile the Dean’s Purchasing card on a monthly basis
- Act as the custodian for the asset management approval process
- Monitors, maintains and orders office supplies
- Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field

A minimum of 1 year experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to work extended hours during peak period, such as budget planning
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to deal effectively with matters of a highly visible and confidential nature with both discretion and independence
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work effectively
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer-service focused and dedicated to providing optimum service
