Job Summary

The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Undergraduate Programs & Recruitment and supports the recruitment and retention efforts for the LeBow College of Business. The Assistant Director supports efforts of the LeBow College of Business in the areas of recruitment, retention, student services and engagement.

Essential Functions

  • Recruitment
    • Provide outstanding counsel to prospective students and their families on all issues of enrollment by email, phone, and in person tours
    •  Keep current on all curricula and changes that may affect incoming students
    • Manage relationships with prospective students (first year and transfer) through various outreach opportunities
    • Manage logistics for on campus recruitment events
    • Assist in planning and execution of pre-college programs, including Camp Business, Business Bootcamp and LeBow Launch
    • Attend admissions events in conjunction with EMSS as a representative of LeBow
    • Collaborate with Director and other stakeholders in the execution of call campaigns and other recruitment initiatives
    • Assist in the creation and development of print, digital and video marketing collateral to be used in recruitment efforts
    • Oversee the communication plans for recruitment, yield and anti-melt
    • Provide weekly point-in-time reports to leadership within LeBow regarding recruitment numbers and analytics
    • Manage social media efforts to connect with prospective students and to market services and programs
    • Exercise strong public speaking skills by giving various presentations and tours
    • Manage website maintenance
  • Student Engagement     
    • Coordinate and manage LeBow learning communities through the implementation of student programming, recruitment efforts, and retention initiatives, including occasional night and weekend support.
    • Assist in the engagement efforts of all LeBow undergraduate students, including occasional night and weekend program support
    • Provide program support for the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives of the College.
    • Teach University 101, a course designed for first-year students to ease the transition from high school to college
    • Participation in commencement activities
  • Office Administration
    • Manage website maintenance
    • Track and measure budget
    • Work with vendors to plan events, order swag, etc…
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 2 Years of Experience
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Experience with customer service, data analysis, social media, and website maintenance
  • Ability to handle exceptions to processes and work assignments with professionalism, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Professional work appearance and interactions with others
  • Experience using at least some of the following advising, academic and admissions software required: Banner, Hyperion, NOLIJ, Slate, CourseLeaf 
  • Familiarity with Drexel LeBow’s undergraduate business programs (traditional/online) and options including links with graduate programs
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills 
  • Possess excellent oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Possess subject matter expertise including experience in higher education admissions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in Higher Education preferred
  • Familiarity with or Willingness to Learn:
    • Advising, academic and admissions software: Banner, Hyperion, NOLIJ, Slate, CourseLeaf
    • Design software
    • Html
    • Web site optimization and content management system (sitecore)
    • CRM software

Additional Information

This position is classified as exempt, grade K. Compensation for this grade ranges from $54,630 - $81,940. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
